    Hello all,

I am after a new TV set for the bedroom and have settled on a 36" CRT. The question is which one? The Panasonic TX36PD30 looks good - but does any one else have any suggestions? I need one that can support PAL and NTSC progressive scan inputs.

I am NOT interested in Philips models as I simply won't touch their products due to quality and reliability issues (I had SO many problems with a Pixel Plus TV...).

Tosh 36zp38 I think is the model number (pic frame model).

If you do happen to go for the tosh don't take out an extended warrenty with the shop, send off your warrenty card and tosh should offer you their own cover. They did me, an extra 4 years was £130.

Thanks for the suggestion - I will look into the model.

House is being refurbished/rebuilt at the moment and the contract requires the company to concern themselves with logistic problems such as this (it shouldn't be that much of a problem!). I am more concerned as to whether the 10mm safety glass on my display stand will be able to take the approx 85kg weight of the CRT.

Man i have had some fun and games getting a few 36 inch CRTs up stairs! I don't recommend it! Especially since both tvs had to be returned due to problems, thank god i didn't have to take them down the stairs as i probably wouldn't be around today!
