Best 32" TV options

Hi

wonder if anyone has come across anything, I am looking for a 32" 4K TV set, I am limited on room so cannot fit 43" otherwise id go there,

my spare room is being turned in to a games room where two sets will be side by side, so 32" is the biggest I can go, of course I want 4K as its for gaming.

I have found a few options but only seem to be in the US which is so annoying.

I have thought of the option of using monitors instead but some don't have remotes etc and would be nice to have the TV option.

if anyone has found a 32" 4K TV can you help me and let me know where from?

thanks

Bapty

TV's at that size will generally be quite poor quality regardless of brand. They will be very poor for gaming.

You'd be much better going with a decent monitor.

Note as well for gaming you're going to need a really high-end GPU or next-gen console to benefit from 4K.

@Sloppy Bob I have found some good monitors, its just nice to have the functions of a TV, especially things like a remote, monitors often don't have that support.

in terms of the use they will each have a Xbox series X when released so 4K is a must for that reason,

if I ever get round to building a PC it will have that as well,

You don't get 4K TVs at that size - at least not in the UK. I'm after a 32" TV for the bedroom and there are actually very few 1080p options, at least not from brands I would consider buying. Most are 720p.

I would have thought a monitor is your only option - you could always add a streaming device.

What's your viewing distance, out of interest ?

I have found the same sort of thing, which Is strange as its clearly possible to build a good screen at that size for 4K, otherwise monitors wouldn't be sold with it.

in terms of viewing distance it will be around 6ft or so, not very far really.

feeling I may have to go for a monitor its mainly the remote part that's annoying, only some monitors support RCU's.

Don't forget that a TV is designed for watching at a distance, so 4K on a relatively small TV would be pointless as you wouldn't get the benefit of the 4K resolution. The push towards larger and larger TVs has also left a much smaller demand for small TVs, so they've become largely neglected by manufacturers as far as I can tell, in terms of spec and features.

Monitors are different because they're often viewed up close, (such as on a desk) so resolution really matters and many are designed specifically for gaming too unlike TVs, where being able to game is just an additional feature.

The graph on this AV Forums article shows that you're right on the 720p/1080p borderline @ 32" from 6ft, so you're not going to benefit from the extra resolution while gaming in 4K at that distance.

With that in mind, are you sure that paying out for two X Box Series X consoles and two 32" gaming monitors with your intended set-up is going to be worth it ?

I guess it all boils down to how often you'll have two people side-by-side either playing different games or playing the same game where split-screen isn't an option, which are presumably the scenarios you're planning for ?

I would imagine that 4K gaming on one 65" TV at the distance would be amazing !

That is very true, I knew a monitor would give a better result, guess I will have to shop for one with an RCU.

it is a set up for myself and my partner, who both will be playing separate games at the same time, hence the dual set up side by side in a dedicated room,

I can imagine 4K on 65" would be amazing! but that will have to wait for me until I can get a room big enough for a screen of that size.
