do u have a budget to work to?
i looked at the tosh 3030, sammy r88, and the orion model thats on one of the threads.
the tosh looked dark to me, the sammy was brighter but seems to have some issues as the majority have nowadays, and the orion though quite cheap has no freeview and i wanted something i could rely on and im not too sure about this one.
i looked at a sony one u were after but its a bit dear for me, comet just advertised it for about 900 quid though, but too dear for me still.
i looked on the threads and saw a sony 32 inch S2530U which some people seem happy with and ive decided to go for one as im sick of waiting to get a tv then to find theres a problem with it.
ive got a sony 46x2000 and had no problems with it which is why im sticking to sonys because i dont seem to have any problems with them.
im not a sony fanboy but i just like the tvs they do.
only my opinion though ask others before u make your choice, and good luck mate.

I'd wait and see how early adopters of the Samsung rate it. That's what i'm doing. I ruled out the Sony simply because it seems a little overpriced and i don't think (correct me if i'm wrong) it has 100hz.

The sound on the Orion was what surprised me most. It's rather good. The Freeview thing's not a problem for the OP as he is using Sky - I'm not a fan of having to spend £100+ extra for a set with a £20 Freeview tuner built in. You might as well spend the extra on a PVR. More comments are needed on the Orion, but it's looking good at £340. A lot of money can chase diminishing returns on LCDs at the moment - I'd look at the sub £400 ones for the bedroom.

I'm afraid i don't know anything about the orion. Regarding 100hz, i was talking about the OPs choices of the Sony, Panasonic and the Samsung. The latter two having 100hz.

i couldnt see it either which is why i like the sony one for about 550 quid.
even though that doesnt have it, what 32 inch tv has 100hz for that price?
