I've had my Sony 26S2010 for a year now and I'm still very happy with it. It's used for X360 & Wii via component, PS3 via HDMI and PC via VGA.

Samsung 26", got one and its super duper, can't fault it one bit and you can get them pretty cheap if you search the net.

I agree. If you're looking for a 26 inch then Samsung are a good brand and IMHO at that size better then Philips. Sony, Toshiba and Sharp are also good but will cost you more. I have a Samsung and I'm happy with it. There is also a 23 inch Samsung but it's not much less then the 26 inch one.

The Panasonic 26LXD70 is the best 26" screen out there right now imo, however it is a lot more money than the Samsung. If all you are using it for is gaming then you won't go wrong with the Samsung.

You do know that Sony LCD's are Samsung's in disguise?

That's not strictly true. Whilst they may share the same panels the electronics driving the panels are different. The electronics are just as important as the panels if not more so. That generally makes Sony LCD's better then Samsung's. Whether they are better enough to be worth the extra cost is debatable.
