    Hi AV Maniacs,

I'm new to this site as a member,I was hoping for some advice on which LCD set is best for region of £1200 - £1500.I want outstanding picture quality as I'llbe hooking up to PS3 for BluRay films.Sound is not essential as i'll use my 5.1 amp and speaker setup. Im looking at the toshiba 42X3030DB or the Samsung LE40M87 BDX/XEU. Any help would be appreciated.

    Ta :lease:

The sets you wrote are around 850£ price. So you can have a look at the Samsung LE-40F86 or the Sony KDL-40W3000

I don't own one however from the vast amount of reading I have done on this forum in an attempt to make up my mind, I would suggest the Sony KDL40X2000 - here for £1499 with 5 year warranty.
The picture looks superb on this TV and is also very kind on freeview SD.

Also the W3000 as I wrote has the same features as the X2000 and adds the 24p capability which is a must better connectivity and brushed metallic design.
