Hi everyone, long story short, me and my wife loves movies too much, and we decided to build our own home theater, we have a room of size 13x19ft, the walls are very dark gray color. Not to almost no light. We plan to purchase a screen as well, we found the best screen from ST that much our what we looking for. We want the much bigger size as possible. So please guys we need your help to find the best PJ under 1K, our budget is 1500-2000K for the PJ and the screen and maybe the sound system. But the 1K is for the PJ no doubt. Thank you in advance.

What I would suggest is buying pre-owned for almost of it, projector, amp and speakers because you will achieve much better results, bluray I would buy new simply because they are so cheap to begin with.

JVC DLA-X35 £1000

Onkyo AV Receiver £350

KEF Eggs 5.1 system £240
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/202618515859

BluRay player (Panasonic 420) £150
PANASONIC UB420 Smart 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray & DVD Player

That leaves £260 for a screen.

You would have a cracking system and with the Kefs they wouldn’t intrude on your living room

Thank you for the response!
I'm not fond of used items, and I don't feel safe buying a projector since they are I think sensitive.
any new PJ under 1K you suggest?
thank you again.

I understand your decision though personally don’t agree with it simply because these things are generally treated like babies and you will get something secondhand which is dramatically better for a grand than buying new.

Not 2 months ago I had my Sony HW45es for sale and was looking £1k, it had only 267hr on the bulb which is good for 6000hrs and had its warranty until 2021.

I think if you like the classifieds on here you will pick something up from one of us who you know are enthusiasts.
