Can anything top the BenQ W100 PJ for home cinema in the budget range?

Cheapest I have seen it so far is £457 from think4.

    Thanks.

I would have to say NO!!...

I bought one a few weeks ago and it has totally blown me away...
The picture quality, straight out of the box is excellent, and after making a few minor adjustments to the pic, it's now even better..

SDE is virtually non existant, unless you're sitting 6' from the screen and with my 106" projected image it's still very bright.

RBE was one of my concerns, but it hasn't been a problem and only see them if I suddenly turn my head.

It is the best "bang for bucks" out there and everyone that I know of that has bought one is thrilled with it's performance..

    Thanks Prof.

Anyone else got an opinion on this?

What are it's closest competitors and why?

    Thanks.

Have a look/search for the thread on the Toshiba MT200

I purchased one last week and am very happy-also had a chance to compare it with a Benq W100 and I think the MT200 is good value for money

    Cheers

I´m on the same track as you, and know i´ve noticed that the Infocus Big Play IN72 has reached almost the same price as the Benq W100 , here in Portugal the Benq is stated at €760 + S&H and the benq is stated at €800 +S&H so for the extra 40 Eur. i believe the Infocus its better about crisp and blacker images plus it has a few extras in connections (HDMI) , plus the design its nice also.

    That my 2 cents.
