yes a thread has been started but the question is still not answered.

Has anyone had any experience or played with this set ? I would also like to get some feedback on actual performance etc.

It is available here in Germany for quite a while, and there is a huge thread at www.hifi-forum.de
Most of the people are positive about the screen, but there seems to me one major issue: Playback via DVI @ 720p/60Hz doesn't run smoothly - some sort of 'stop and go'.
BTW I have seen the panel at a local store, and they allowed me to hook up my Xbox (YUV). It looked very nice. There was no smearing at all.
I have the manual (in german). If anybody would like to have it, send a PM.
I mailed to BenQ and they sent it to me, maybe this works with the english manual too.
