Ok I read the manual and I cant see anything on it but seems a bit weird could it be true that there is no filters to clean on this PJ if so its my first pj without vents/filters.

I know there are loads of us here that have this kit so impress me with knowledge . if it does not have filters.....why.

    Cheers Darko
      :)

Possibly that if it has sealed optics, then any dust coming in with the cooling air won't affect the image, so they don't bother with filters.

I'm building a new one this week, and all going well, the old one might be available, provided I can get it apart without damaging it so I can get it out of the loft!

    Interested maybe?

    Gary.

All going well I'll give you first refusal. It's using pukka 1.2 gain screen material from Ellie and underneath that is blackout clothe, so it's two for the price of one. :D

Blimey - I'm probably 15mins away from you then. :)

I'll drop you a PM so you can come and see it before I take it apart (or try to), and you can make a decision then. Might be sometime later this week, or early next week if that's OK?

    Gary.

The BenQ's do have a sealed optical engine up to a point but there is a bit where dust can get on the back end of the lens assembly and cause dust blobs.
It's easy to fix yourself though.
