Went to rent a DVD the other night and there was nothing that I hadn't already seen so I got this as I had heard that it was a fairly good film. Personally I think it was one of the worst films I have seen in a long time. It was like a really poor episode of Byker Grove with acting and comedy on the same level. If this is the type of film that the British film industry is producing then its doomed.

Well I liked it and ordered the DVD straight after I came out of the cinema (after seeing it in the UK).
Nobody really cares I guess but I thought I should put in a +ve vote:D
    I don't think that
coz the film looks to be quite "highprofile" even in Luxembourg with good advertising, let's see what the viewers think (it only came out this week)

Well I suppose thats what make the film industry - the fact that we all like different films. I'm sure you probably dislike films that I like.

I though this was hilarious. Nice to see a funny anglo-indian film. Probably helps when you understand some of the humour.

It was targeted at kids/ young teens so I wouldn't be too hard on it.

I watched this on the plane coming back from the USA. All i can say is it made the flight a long and dull experience as it is by far the worst film of 2002......the acting is terrible and the story is so predictable....shame on you Jonathan Ross for putting it in your category for favourite comedy of the year....luckily for me i watched Dog Soldiers next on the flight home . so the flight turned out good in the end.

If everyone liked the same films and disliked the same films, it would be a pretty boring discussion board.

Our differences of opinion are what make us interesting to each other, that and our ability to express those opinions.

I am grateful for the fact that there are multitudinous choices of film types for every type of person, we have to accept other peoples tastes often differ from our own.

Watched it last night and really liked it too :)
    Some very funny parts.

Better than Monsoon Wedding but not as good as East is East.

I thought it was quite good, personally. Maybe a little predictable, but who cares.

I liked it more than East is East, which is funny in parts, but the humour is more understated (my favourite bit is where they go to visit the gay son, which they imply is a bit of a trek. If you actually know the geography, it's about five miles away..)

I got this for my eldest daughter and she watched it with my wife and younger daughter and they all loved it.

Then on night last week, when the telly had the usual load of old drivel on, my wife suggested we watch it together.

I thought it was very good and I have learned not to dismiss movies like this as girly drivel in future.

The only real problem I had was with the title and her infatuation with that big girl's blouse (Beckham, not the Irish coach character).
