Just a bit of a heads-up for a shiny new bit of kit that may suit many people. It certainly ticks all of the boxes for me.

Essentially, Benchmark have released a DAC1 USB with an analogue input which might not sound like much but it means I can feed the analogue out from my AV amp into it for surround sound stuff whilst retaining it as an ace preamp and DAC for musical stuff with balanced outputs for my Dynaudio monitors saving 2 or 3 boxes of kit.

The sooner I can get my hands on one the better. :)

Just been in touch with Benchmark tech support. I was hoping for a volume bypass option on the analogue input only (set by internal jumper) but sadly this isn't possible. :(

I'm still very tempted though. :)

Guess that means I'll leave it for the pro-audio guys then.

Has anyone heard it yet or seen a review ? I see they are £1,300 at DVR which is fairly hefty vs. $1,575 in the States.
