yet again i have aquired another free projector, (this one is for my flat mate)

It's a Bell Howell "Hi-Beam CX1" CRT produced by Videpro in Ireland as long ago as 1986. (still in good working order)

Does anyone have information on the chassis which this was based, we have no documentation or specs on the machine, and would appriciate any info.
Gordon do you or your colegues remember the model.

Adrian,
Bell & Howell are no longer in business. I believe the company was bought by Hanimex in the late 80's.

Hanimex is a trade distributor, so they may not talk to you directly, but you could contact Savilles who are a dealer for Hanimex products. The have branches throughout mainland Britain. Try the HQ at York - 01904 782782 and ask if there is a local branch near you.

From memory, the early Bell & Howell LCD projectors were rebadged General Electric units.

I hope this is of some help.

Regards
