Thought you might find this funny, and a bit obvious really.

We were having storms around Manchester tonight and I love em!!!

I was actually tracking how close they were getting with the "signal strength" meter in "settings" on my Sky+ box, and I tell you, it is a bloody good barometer!!

It was uncanny, as the electrical storms got closer, the signal started to drop, and I know you could put this down to cloud cover etc. But even when you didn't expect one and there was no rain, the signal would start to deteriate and next thing, Whammo, Crack, BOOM.

    Cool Eh!!!

    Mitch.

 P.S. It has just dawned on me that I was putting my Sky+ Box, Sky upstairs, the 2 TV's they are connected to, My DVD, Video and Most of all My Beloved Naim Amp, Mission Speakers and NAD CD Player at risk, but I love a good storm!!! (and I am insured, Ha Ha)

I disconnected my LNBs and also TV aerial and ham-radio stuff during the worst of the storms.
