I am using a Sky HD box withiut a card mainly to give 'her indoors' Wimbledon in HD, however, it is very pixelated (big blocks) which I attribute to a poor signal.
Other stations appear to be OK including ITV HD and LUXE HD. Without card I am limited to just how many channels I Can test.
The strength and quality meter say 100% and 90% respectively.
The box is in single feed mode and has been reset twice now.
Occasionally the BBC HD is fine but usually not.
Any thoughts - is it me or is there a problem with the BBC HD transmissions. I ask this, as when they are showing their Preview the signal is unwatchable but improves when it is the World Cup, but still not perfect.
I have a Sky+ box below the HD box which does have a card and that appears to be 100% perfect. They are both fed from a octo LNB and I have rung the changes on the three leads and there is no apparent difference whichever feed is used for either box.
HELP... The Boss will not be best pleased if she does not get Wimbledon in HD after all my 'faffing about'
