Since the BBC's move from London to Salford, I have noticed they are not getting good political commentators or insiders who bring something extra to the news. All too often they are using their own staff from just down the corridor to sit in and be interviewed and pass comment to their own news people!
A really weird example today on BBC news.
In the newsroom, the two newscasters were interviewing the guest expert who happened to be Jonathan Charles, also a BBC news reader/reporter.
It went something like this.....
So the U.A.E. are buying nuclear technology and power stations from Japan.
J.Charles. Yes, this is significant because Japan can sell its technology now that their home market is flat and the UAE can sell more of its oil and use home grown nuclear electricity instead. Its a win win for both countries.
Anything else Mr Charles?- clue IRAN?
Unbelievable!
