Anyone following the long running saga of the 5530 and BBC iPlayer will know that the old v1.6 standalone app worked for TV streaming only whereas v2.5 which works on a 5800 doesn't work at all on a 5530.
Well things seem to have changed yet again and v1.6 doesn't work either now that the BBC has gone for their integrated player.
Going to the http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer will simply give you a "not supported" message.
On the plus side you can listen to radio by going to the http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer site and selecting the radio program you want. Doing the same with a TV program just gives you a white rectangle where the picture should be (and no sound).
Has anyone had any success with hacking the 5530 web browser so it tells the bbc you've got a 5800 ?
