My parents have a the Humax 8000 freeview box. the picture quality is great on all channels apart from BBC1 where the picture freezes and seems to be in slow motion. Is there anything that canbe done to cure this?
Thanks

If that's happening on BBC1, it should also be happening on other channels on the same multiplex and indicates a lack of signal.

If it's not, I'd try a mains disconnect/reconnect re-boot (it may just be a 'confused computer' problem).

Hi
Does that box have a signal strenth meter?
It does sound like a signal problem, but different channels (bbc 1/2/3/4) are usually grouped together.

Don;t think it has a signal strength meter. It only seems to affect BBC1 which I thought was a bit odd anyway.

I'll try and unplug and see what happens.

It does have a signal strength meter.

Select channel. Press Menu button. Select System option. Select Signal detection. Arrow right and a strength and quality bar is shown. Both signals will shown as a percentage.
