Anyone know when this is being released on DVD? I've just watched Season 2 and all I can say is  - definetly the best thing on TV at present IMHO.

I believe the third season is on Sky quite soon - but I can't stomach watching with endless adverts - so really want to get the DVD boxset. Any ideas of dates (US, UK or wherever)? When was Season 2 released?

Season2 R1 first half was Dec 2005 and the second half Sept 2006.
    The season2 R2 was released Aug 2006.

Season 3 was broadcast in the US at a later date and no release date has been announced yet, perhaps they are going for a single full boxset this time around.

    Who watches adverts these days:)

Season 3 has not yet finished showing in the US...they are around half way through.

Given the S2 boxsets (R1), I think it's likely that S3 will also be in two parts.

Expect the R2 versions to be podcastless.

Yes but unlike season2 there isn't a 3 month break (only a short break either side of xmas) so a full season3 boxset is more likely.

If you can't get yourself to FF through the ads then just download the episodes, it's not as if you are not paying too watch them or going to put off a DVD purchase after all:)

I've heard how good this is and want to start watching - can I pick it up from series 3 or do I have to watch the first 2 before?

    Cheers :smashin:

You pretty much have to watch from the begining to get the story but I would guess you can watch from Series 3 as long as you dont mind not having a clue whats going on.

Remember to watch the 4hr mini series first before you launch into Seasons 1 & 2.

Actually just noticed from Pooch's update that the mini series pilot is being shown on 4th Jan on Sky 2 - is this the right one to watch?

I'd definitely recommend getting it all on DVD anyway, once you start watching a disc you'll look up once the last episode on that disc plays and realise its nearly 4 hours later :D

    I watched the mini-series primer in one sitting.....then watched Series 1 in 2 days, Series 3 took 3 days....lol

did the same thing with Lost :D

I dont mind waiting week on week for some things, but stuff like this I just love to fill up as much as possible......downside is I am now debating heavily whether to watch BSG Series 3 on Sky this month or not...lol....forgot to record Lost S3 so i'll have to wait for that, definitely not paying Sky an extra £2.50 an episode just to be able to watch it in crappo quality from the computer! (that is such a cheek! i'm already paying a flippin world package, now they want me to double up just for one TV show? no way, i dont mind paying for quality but there is a limit!...namely the one that happens when i'm unemployed :D)

anyhow....enjoy BSG Smelly, its seriously good fun as well as some good drama.....and pray at the altar of Doctor Baltar......heh....the man is a legend!

I couldn't believe SKY were charging existing package subscribers a fee for a download, no problem with offering it to non-subscribers (or those who don't take a particular package) but hey we've paid for it already.

thats the bad part, the worst part is they say its yours to keep, but dont explain how that works....if you delete it can you download it again free? far as i'm concerned buy to keep means i can use it like a DVD, in any machine i log in to!

nah, works out at the same cost as buying it on DVD at full price for the whole series....think i'll wait till Lost comes out in the US and get a Region 1 box set once the price drops a little....lol

unless Sky repeat it in the meantime...although not sure i can be bothered to wait every week....heh...
