Now I've only seen the miniseries but I understand this to be a pretty decent show :D

Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Series Blu-ray 2009: Amazon.co.uk: DVD

I had already started saving for the US version which will be released end of July before I noticed this today, for around £25 cheaper, and y'know, no import tax or region coding to worry about. Looks like the US version will have a figurine though:

Amazon.com: Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]: Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, Callum Keith Rennie, Grace Park, Michael Hogan, Matthew Bennett, Paul Campbell, Aaron Doug

If details are the same as US version this set will include the miniseries, "Razor" and all 4 seasons. More detail for US version here:

Universal Details 'Battlestar Galactica' Blu-ray Box Set | High-Def Digest

So, overall, that's under £30 per season, and although i'm not ordering just yet (big commitment lol) it seems like a pretty decent price.

    Peace:)

Does seem a good price for Blu Ray.

I didnt expect them to release the blu ray version so quickly

I thought the standard DVDs were great quality but with them (annoyingly) releasing season 4 in 2 boxsets I might as well buy this boxset instead

Mini series was okay but the series itself is much better. Has a few down points, but generally it's top notch all the way through and about the best sci-fi to come out of North America for a very long time. Proper serious sci-fi too, not the feel good crud of Star Trek (and I say that as a Trek fan!).

Would be interested to hear what the opinions are on the Blu versions as the HD DVD of Series 1 I think wasn't rated very well.

Then again I think it's just the old "don't like grain" complaint and BSG is heavy on the film-like grain effect.

I've only seen HD versions off the telly at 720p, but they look decent enough to me.

The HD DVD's were a noticeable upgrade from the DVD's so I would expect the Blu to be similar or even better. I am sticking with the DVD versions as I already have season 1 to 3 and waiting for the rest to come down cheaper.

If they are just as lazy as they always are they will proably just port over the exact same discs as america and add a few options for other langaues, quick and easy and cheap for them, so that would include everything ameircan gets.

Still as you say we will see :)

Ahh its not quidco on that link, its another company, I have been using them on that link above for 7 months and have not had my cash yet, so it may be best to think of the cashback as a "Maybe" for them, until I get cash in my hands I am always weary of any company :D

This is very tempting, even though I've spent so much on the standard-def sets, this fantastic show warrants re-purchase on Blu-ray. I'm just waiting to see if the extras are the same as the US editions (in particular, the extended episodes), then I'm sold.

It should be identical to the US set so all 4 seasons, the mini series, Razor plus tons of extras and extended episodes.

I say should though as nothing is 100% confirmed yet and people seem to think that because the UK DVD's were different the US DVD's the UK BD set will also be different too but considering the UK sets were missing stuff only because they were rushed out months before the US sets where as the UK BD set is released months after the US BD set I dont see any reason why the UK release wouldnt be identical, after all the BBFC have already rated the extended episodes and extras, why do that if not to include them.
