The Nikon P7100 takes a EN-EL 14 battery. But there seems to be two types (different chips) some work with the P7000 and others with the P7100.

Reading up on it the newer ones are backwardly compatible and seen to cost a fortune £40 compared with 3rd party ones at £6.

Even some of the Genuine Nikon parts at £40 say not for P7100.

Does anyone know where to get a battery for a P7100.

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a genuine Nikon EN-EL 14 that does work in a P7100 from one that does not.
