Just got my copy of the first Batman film this morning. But i only had time to try it out for a couple of minutes to have a quick peek. All i can say is WOW what a DTS track  I have always loved the main title music but the DTS track gave it so much more impact and clarity i was shocked. Certainly going to be one for cranking the volume up

Lets just hope this is the start of Warner Brothers finally putting DTS tracks on more of there DVD's Anyone know if the JAP version of Batman Begins will have a DTS track?

I am curious when the Batman Begins double-dip director's cut will be out and what it will include. I am positive that is where the DTS track is going to be. I'm sure it's coming the middle of next year sometime.

I've been waiting on a review of the PAL R2 discs as even though I live in R1, I am PAL native capable and would like the extra res. for these films...

There's very little news indeed on which is the best version of these special editions. :(

The Region 2 releases all come with a DTS soundtrack but imho the Region 1 Anthology set is the way to go, not only is the actual box very nice and the releases uncut but you can pick it up for around £40! When you think you'll be paying around £14 per disc on their own, it's a great saving. You're practically getting Batman and Robin for free, which let's face it is the only way you'd buy it ;)

just had an email from play.com that my batman, batman returns and batman begins special editions are all in the post. Can't wait! Not seen batman begins at all yet, i've been cleaning and tweaking everything in my cinema to get the best from these discs. Would love to hear the Danny Elfman theme on SACD.

I doubt its authenticity too as doing a search revealed the tv show 24 in dts as well as RoboCop 1 2 and 3 all on 1 disc dual layer with dts, yeh right thats authentic NOT.

The boxes on the R2 versions of the Batman boxed set look much better on the artwork side. But they're cut.

I am still undecided about which version to buy. I want to get Batman and Batman Returns - not on R2 because of cuts, can people recommend which region is better as well as a good place to buy them.

    Thanks a lot.

from Korean dvds. Had a really short look at Batman, and the pictures way better then the bare bones disc, Its way sharper and there's hardley no grain. The Covers are double sided aswell so if you dont want the korean age ratings and text you can just turn teh cover over.
