Sometimes I feel sorry for you reviewers having to sit through dross like this ;)
However the nostalgic value for me with this film night just drag me back. The Laserdisc was one of the first I imported with a Dolby digital soundtrack and banging out from my Yamaha A1 the room shook to its foundation. And don't get me going on the helicopter flying rear left to rear right . I miss Laserdisc...:(

I remember loving this more than the other 2 batman films...although in fairness I haven't seen any of these 90's batman films since the 90s....it will be nice watching them again to see how I feel about them now

I also remember importing the Lasderdisc, cost a fortune as usual, and i didnt even like the film, and i will probably end up buying this UHD again , it certainly was the downward spiral for Batman, but The Music Score was very good

I saw the first two and even thought the second better than the first, then we had this Tommy Lee Jones should have played it straight as a counterpoint to Jim Carrey as Jim played his usual OTT character. Thank goodness I never went to the pictures to see Batman and Robin as this should have been called Batman Never.
When compared with the fight scenes of todays Batman this Batman seems a wimp. And the dutch shots and the silly electric shock sound makes stuff even worse.

I love Forever, and don't care if anyone disagrees.

Revisionist history and internet neckbeards will tell you that it was a box office failure, (nope), when it was Returns that almost sank the franchise.

As if this is a 6/10 film. Behave!

Film is fantastic and jaw droppingly gorgeous in the scenes I looked at over the weekend!

Whilst it is logically difficult to defend any reasonable criticism of this film (and it seems to come in for a disproportionate amount regularly in Empire Magazine for example) I have very fond memories of taking my eldest son to see this - the first Dolby Digital film released in the UK methinks (hence the opening titles). It’s a neon lit film about a cartoon character and played for campy laughs. I really enjoyed it at the time and would happily sit through it again. Strangely I have no desire to watch either of Tim Burtons earlier efforts.

Life would be dull if we all liked and enjoyed the same things!

Returns was the first film with a DD track in the UK I believe
