http://www.dvdsoon.com/show-title-details.xml?uid=5425 Just stumbled across this. Have had it on VHS for about 10 years or so from a BBC2 screening. Think it was shown on that Alex Cox hosted "Moviedrome" series of cult movies, or whatever it was called. Enjoyable period piece, very quirky, weird and atmospheric and easy to see why Bob Kane cites it as one of his big influences in the creation of "Batman". Many sequences are just like panels from the original 1930s comic strips. But the exciting thing about this DVD is the inclusion of a widescreen 2.00:1 ratio print (from 1930 ). Apparently the movie was an early experiment in widescreen shot on 65mm film! Bat fans should be fascinated... Sold!
