Does anyone know whether the original Batman will be getting a SE release in time for Batman Begins. I heard a rumour of this a while back and nothing since?

Probably not relevant but saw some speculation on another forum for Warner releases in the Netherlands. Special editions of Batman and Batman Returns pencilled in for October 05. Batman Begins was down for November 05.

the first 2 are the only 2 worth owning IMO. Ive got both the snapper releases but it'd be nice to have an SE of each of them, perhaps with DTS, isolated score and some extra footage. Oh and for Batman Returns to be uncut for R2 would be nice.

All 4 movies are definitely getting the remastered treatment but I havn't found any information pertaining to when they'll be released yet.

    batman special editions! :D :D :D

i've been hunting round all day trying to find more information on these. can't really find anthing. I hope they do a large deluxe box set type thing like they did for alien quadrilogy. However i agree only the first 2 films, (the keaton/burton classics) are really worth owning. I hope the remastering and transfers they do are as good as the films deserve. I'd love to have a job of designing special edition packages. I was thinking for the batman one you could buy a batman vault about 30cm high, open it up and the batsuit is in there with each disc underneath filed in small protective shelves. Suppose i could build my own.

I was going to upgrade my pc. but now these things are coming out i think i'll finally buy a sub.

That link shows the 1st one as "Fullscreen 1.33:1" - can anyone confirm or deny this?
