A bit early probably i know... but Play are taking orders on Batman Begins with a listed price of £15.99, and using a 5% off (Varsity card) it comes down to £15.19.

I know that im definately going to want this when it comes out - so i thought i may as well order it while its fairly cheap and mention it here in case anyone else fancies doing the same.

That's a great deal especially as it's the Collectors Edition. Only thing for me is that the US version is out a month earlier but it costs more. Plus i doubt the US version will be region coded

Very good price for play but I don't think i can wait a month! I'll be getting the US one asap. Can't wait to watch the TDK 6 min in HD. Going to IMAX to see it.

Just thought id bump this up as ive noticed that Play have changed the listing - it now seems to come with a free USB stick with some pictures on!.

Only a pretty small one im sure, but worth having for free. Limited stocks though apparently for anyone who might be tempted...

I stopped buying from PLAYUSA quite some time ago. Despite the name of the website the DVD cases always had french writing on them. I don't know if this applies to blu-ray titles.

"IF" it is region free then PlayUSA are doing it for £13.99 Delivered and the Limited Edition Giftset for £17.99 Delivered
Just thought I'd say thanks, ordered the LE from playusa. That's the best price I've seen for it. axelmusic have the regular one for just under £13 and play.com confusingly have the picture of the LE for £15.99 but it doesn't list the features. I'm doubtful it's the LE when most online stores over here are selling the standard one for £17.99.

Most places I've looked at importing from have it for around £25 so I'm happy with £17.99. Hope it turns up soon, I can't wait!! Gotta get IMAX booked soon too, TDK is going to rock!

P.S. This has been reported as region free on a few sites now.

PlayUSA source the films from Canada and that is why they have bilingual covers, it has already been reported that Batman Begins does indeed have a small bilingual cover.

Decided to wait and get the UK version as it is cheaper and I'm not really interested in the postcards/flash drive/comic I just want the film and prologue.

Thanks for pointing that out. I hate bilingual covers.

Each to their own, doesn't bother me too much. I just want the movie quick and at a good price and will accept a slightly different cover for that. I'll have it before the UK release which is great.

Is there any differences to the HD DVD version? I assume the picture quality is going to be similar.

I saw a review of it and the picture quality was considered to be identical to the HD-DVD version.

So it's only really worth buying on Blu-ray if you're interested in the Dark Knight prologue.

Does the standard US BD release come with the memory stick too?

cheers
No, play are doing it themselves and only on the UK one. I got the US LE from playusa and there's no stick. The lenticular is great though. I wish the box was firmer and the goodies would slide out the side but you have to open it - I hate that as they wear easily, mine has nail marks along the top now and it was quite hard to open.

Prologue looks amazing in HD, features are all informative (shame there's nothing indepth about the few visual effects or anything on editing, sound design and set dressing but still a great package) and the picture and audio are fantastic! The picture is probably a 4.5, i've seen better but it's still excellent. Audio is great but found i really needed to crank it up to really enjoy it, slightly low mix as standard. Can't wait for TDK.
