I've currently got the R3 Deluxe version on order, are there any other ones to look out for?
There is a 3 Disc Region 4 release which has the normal 2 Discs plus a comic book and the soundtrack, thats the one I am getting
Where from IJ?
Is the third disc the soundtrack or something else?
The R3 deluxe one has the comics too, if it's just the soundtrack I'm missing out on I won't bother with cancelling the order and hunting down the R4 version
tell me tell me
Afaik it is 2dvd's +cd!
Yep its the standard 2 Discs everywhere else is getting plus the soundtrack and the comic book.
Also, I am getting it from DVDCrave as they work out the cheapest.
The R4 is here.....
costs a bit more than the R3 version though.
Indi, you posted while I was typing. DVDCrave is cheaper than ezydvd.
Out of interest, does anyone know what country the Region 3 Deluxe Edition that CDWow are stocking is from? as I had a quick look on YesAsia and the Korean release is not out until the 26th October but the Hong Kong release is listed as the 2nd October which is only just over a week away but CDWow have a release date of 18th October which is a little confusing.
The Region 4 is tempting, it looks like a very good release. I also liked the soundtrack to the movie and it would be nice to have it on CD.
I've ordered the R1 deluxe edition, does this differ from the R3 deluxe edition?
Apart from different audio and subtitle tracks I would bet that they will be identical.
Cheers IJ. I went for the R1 deluxe edition as it was a bit cheaper than the R3 (~£12.75 from amazon.com!)
However, I've still got the R2 on pre-order too from cd-wow. Don't know what I'll do with that copy!
On DVD Crave, it says that the R3 Batman Begins is £20.odd
is that including shipping?
I just wanna make sure before I pre-order
Also thanks IJ for this, it looks like a sweet deal! The soundtrack will be awesome
The 3 Disc Region 4 release is £18.45 plus shipping which is around £3.42 so you are looking at £22 delievered via airmail.
No releases showing up as DTS yet?
Nope and I doubt any will apart from pirate DVD9 releases which always seem to include a DTS track.
It's a Warner release, so DTS is highly unlikely.
the new boxset of the the Burton/schmancher films has DTS Pauley, so it may not be that rare in future.
hmmmmm so we might see a re-release in a few months with a DTS track.
Rumours were that this will be DTS from the off, maybe thery're holding back for a SE!
It's why I went for the R3 version, if any version will have DTS from the off it will be the R3 version, they love their DTS over there
Can anyone confirm if ANY version has a DTS soundtrack?
i was happy to see there are 2 disc versions of Batman & Batman Returns coming out soon, probably old news to most of you but ive been waiting ages for 2 disc editions of these great films to come out, that coupled with the 2 disc Batman Begins, ill be in Bat heavan!
Yep quite old news im afraid, have had Batman and Batman Returns SEs pre-ordered from DVDCrave for a month or so now at less than £7.00 each which is better than the £15 price tag most places want for each of the UK releases and even better, the R4 release of Returns is uncut unlike the UK release.
CDWOW have theses for 8.99 (including discount) they are listed as region 2&4, does this mean Batman Returns will be cut?
Yep it will be Uncut as they are the Australian releases but it works out a few quid cheaper from DVDCrave even with the discounts.
Indiana Jones, have you received your copy of Batman Begins from DVD Crave yet? Mine was despatched last Monday but hasn't arrived yet.
I know it's coming all the way from Australia but some people have mentioned the speedy delivery times and CD Wow seem to get discs delivered sharpish.
Funny you should ask this as I placed an order last Tuesday for the Batman Begins 3 Disc Collectors Edition with DVDCrave, it was posted Wednesday morning and I recieved it today.
All the items I have ordered from Australia over the past few weeks have all taken 5 days to arrive so if I was you I would be abit worried but then I dont know what the post system where you live is like.
Thanks, I'll give it a couple more days and then get in touch with them I think. They'll probably only say that I need to wait another week anyway.
If you're planning on spending £30 in HMV you can get the Deluxe edition (2 discs plus comic) for £12.99, or £17.99 if you don't want to fork out that much. They have a sale/BOGOF offer on at the minute so it isn't actually that bad...apparently HMV have the deluxe exclusively in the UK, I had an R3 on order from CD-wow, but cancelled it after they couldn't give me a definate dispatch date.
Or you can buy my never watched, R3 Deluxe Edition which I have up for offer on the Sales board
