    Hi,

I'm currently renovating my bathroom and was thinking of putting some speakers in my ceiling.

A friend suggested these as they have them in their bathroom but they're not very tech savvy so I was wondering if anyone knew much about them or could recommend better speakers for a similar price? Not looking for amazing quality with a sub or anything.

    Thanks

Hmm, says it's "ideal for bathrooms". You recommend any others?

Never fitted ceiling speakers in a bathroom. I use a Dali Katch portable speaker as I can also use it elsewhere and they sound good.

You will need dedicated bathroom/waterproof speakers.
Bathrooms get steamy / damp and you need speakers that can operate in that environment.
I used boat speakers in my last house which was the cheapest option.
You also don't say if you want wired/bluetooth or other functionality.
Plenty of people do them , but little ones will sound crappy. A bigger size speaker and knowing where the joists are means you can fit them in between the joists and use the cavity as a bass box. If you use some insulation in the cavity you can tweek the sound to how you like it.
I have ceiling speakers in my kitchen wired to a denon dm 30 and they sound really good.
Anyway..........just 1 site i found for your delectation loads more out there.

Bathroom Speakers from Ceiling-Speakers.co.uk - Find the perfect ceiling speaker and hear the difference

    Good luck in your quest.

How much time would you have to be spending in the toilet to make fitting speakers worthwhile? Sure we all have been in there long enough that you nearly fall over when you try to stand up as your legs have gone dead, but still going to the trouble of fitting speakers must be a case of repeated constipation surely?

Go for it mate, i fitted a set of Bose 131's in my ensuite bathroom years ago as part of a multiroom set up and it's the only part of my system that gets used on a daily basis. Nothing like tunes in the shower :smashin:

The problem with that is that I'd never come out! A hideout with tunes!

    - Have you fallen down that toilet?!
    - I can't hear you with the music! :)

Perhaps lying soaking in the bath? Listening to the radio while shaving?

I don't like baths and I have a beard. But I do like to spend leisurely time in there while setting some brown trout free!
