Butt kickers/ Bass Shakers have their place,

    1) if your sub doesn't do it for you.

    2) your sub does it for you, but you have neighbours

They will make your chair shake in just the same way a good sub does, perhaps more so.

I bought a pair as a dose of Viagra for my Yamaha YST-205 Sub, then went into the home sub build route, and now don't need them.

I'll pop them on ads for sale if you're interested.

just bought the buttkicker lfe kit including amp fixing kit and kinetic feet from america for £360 including postage
or you can pay £650 to buy it from here www.urbanjunkie.co.uk
which is the only place i could find in uk that sells the complete kit.
i will have to pay import tax on it when it arrives but that will not be to much

Care to share your impressions on it? Did you have a subwoofer already?

The butt Kicker is a really powerful device; especially when compared to the likes of the Aura Shaker. It is also considerably heavier.
It will certainly shake your sofa, just make sure it is well secured, trust me it's like it has a life of it's own.
The smaller units mentioned have a large bump in the frequency respose at around 42hz. The Butt Kick should have a much flatter response.

I can't help wondering if one's butt is sufficently discriminating to notice a peak at 42Hz :D
