Anyone know how to tell if the DVDs are Ivor Owen (the original Basil) or the new one? Ivor was brilliant. The new one has improved but doesn't have very good material to work with.

    Cheers

One of the funniest things I've seen was a sketch with John Thompson (Fast Show) doing the Robert De Niro "You lookin' at me" act/speech to Basil Brush.
BB kept interupting him with "Yes..... yes I am"

    Has anyone else seen this.
I can have a weird sense of humour sometimes and this makes me laugh every time.

I kept it on Sky + for ages then eventually stuck it on a DVD.

    Lisa,

Wow! I saw a bit of an episode a couple of weeks, as I was recording Shaun The Sheep, and I too, thought that that voice she did in the Basil Brush show was her natural voice. Quite a shock that it isn't! And, yes, your Dad's correct, though maybe not the most beautiful woman, but certainly a beautiful woman. :)

What is it with women on kids TV shows, always being so pretty?!
