    Hi

Apologies if this is a stupid question.... is the cable from a satellite dish to a sky hd box, the same as a cable from the Virgin cable network to a Virgin HD box?

My cables are all hidden behind skirting, so i wondered if i could connect the virgin cable to the existing satellite cable rather than rip the skirting out.

Also, i control my sky hd box from another room using an infrared sender - any reason why this would not work with a virgin hd box ?

    Thanks

If virgin are fitting it I doubt they will use someone elses cable, have a chat to the installer, see if you can convince him.

Let VM run their cable if they want to, you can then connect your hidden cable when they have left.
