If anyone here is/was familiar with the arcade machine Robotron, then maybe you can help.

In order to play the PC version of this cracking game it would be nice to have two 2-axis joystick controllers as the original machine had. I've looked in a few places for a reasonble quality, very basic 2-axis joystick but can't seem to find one. Todays joysticks are bristling with knobs, buttons and other trinkets which are totally unnecesary for this game and push the prices way up (and I already have one for other games).

They also need good suction cups to hold them in place as it gets a bit frantic after round 1:D

    Cheers,

    Mike.

If you want to be really funky then you could build one from old arcade machine parts, see here.

    You could buy the X-Arcade.

At $150 it is a bit pricey though.

Another make your own with pics here.

There is a hotrod SE on ebay here.

There are a number of joysticks on ebay for old consoles like this one.

In short, I haven't seen a P.C. arcade stick around at all but it seems quite simple and fairly cheep to build one.

    Cheers

Or try using PSX->USB controller and use your PSX controller analog sticks to play :)
