Basic dvr- questions

    hi could anyone please answer these questions

    when recording to dvr- i know you can only record once but can i record a bit at a time until disc full?

    also if i record to dvr- or dvdram disc can i put these on the computer and re edit them? and how is the best way

    yes you can as long as you dont finalise a disc (how you do this depends on the machine you are using) once disc is finalised you cant record to it anymore
    To edit on a computer you will need a PC drive that can read RAM discs and some editing software have a seacrh as there is loads of info on this around

    Yes. You can record multiple programmes to each type of disc.

    Yes. There are hundreds of programmes that let you do this although you'll need compatible hardware - checkout Rasczak's Guide for advice. One of the more popular is TMPG MPEG Editor - available here. However if you get a DVD-RAM machine (or most DVD-RW ones) you can edit on there just as easily (if not more so) than on a PC.
