I am having my basement finished and one of the rooms will be the home theatre room. The framing and electric is setup and the contractor is about to start on the hat channel and drywall (double 5/8 and green glue) two of the walls are against concrete and he placed an L clip against the wall to the stud framing. the framing in one corner is connected to the ceiling that could transfer noise.

He said since the sound clips are against the wall and those walls are against concrete I shouldn't have to worry. I am a worrier though. Is it a mistake not to hat channel the entire room? should I hat channel the entire room without question?

    Thanks in advance.

If unsure talk with the isolation clip manufacturer/supplier.
