I have just ordered a 36" Panasonic PL32 for £499 (inc free delivery) from Currys website in their 6 day sale (ends 30th August).

I was on the verge of buying it last week at £699, so bit of luck there.

This is a bargain for such a highly reviewed TV, but I assume its because they probably have a stock of CRTs that they are trying to offload due to the current market trend for LCD, Plasma, etc.

If you are in the market for a new TV check out their site.

I just hope that I have no problems with the set now !!

Ditto - although went through Dixons instead of Currys cos I wanted to get a few other things as well, and as one of them had free delivery everything came up free delivery, plus Pricerunner's £50 off meant that I got the TV, a Sony D800U digibox and a Harmony 655 remote for less than the cost of the TV when I was very tempted by it on Wednesday night (glad I waited now!!!)! When are you getting them delivered?

Ah don't tell me I missed a £50 off voucher as well !! Would be very disappointed to hear that.

Anyway, I think that a 36" telly that got 'Best Buy' award in 3 different magazines for £499 inc free delivery is not a bad deal. Plus I should be able to get a few pounds for my 32" Philips that I will no longer need.

The 50 off was only spending more than £600, as I was getting a few other things anyway i thought i may as well use it! The equivalent currys offer through pricerunner was free delivery, which I had already with my freeview box  Roll on next saturday.........

I got free delivery anyway using the FREEDEL149 code.

Mine is to be delivered next Friday, if the email from Currys is accurate.

Must start doing some back exercises to prepare for the lift !!

Someone who feels thinness of a screen or hanging on a wall is a better choice than picture quality.... shame really DOH! lol ;)

I have the Toshiba 36ZP46 - my what a TV! If the Panny is half as good as this (which its identical almost according to homecinemachoice!) then it will be better than all but the absolute top end plamas - for probably 1/20th of the price! :D

I wanted to purchase the 32zp48 but they dont have the one pakaged w/ stand in stock!!!

    damn you currys,

I did contemplate on purchasing the one without a stand but realised my current tv cabinet can only handle 21 inch so I would need a new stand which would probably set me back another £50 and besides the one packaged with the 32zp48 is real sweet and integral to the design that I think I'll wait till they have them instock and hopefully they'll still have some more discount goin on

I was in Currys today and was after the 32zp46. They had a few at their central warehouse but no stands, and the computer showed that 12 people were awaiting stands.. Apparently there is a supply problem.
