Most titles not worth bothering with, but some great prices on US site www.dvdpacific.com. Adjust currency to display prices in GBP, and select 'Best Discounts' option. Note that each disc has p/p charge of 58p.

    Highlights include:
Michael Crawford in concert - 76p!
    Short Circuit - £2.23
    Blair Witch Project - £2.23
    Laurel and Hardy v1 (6 episodes) - £1.27
    Laurel and Hardy v2 (6 episodes) - £1.27
    Red Skelton TV shows v1, v2, v3, 3 hours 20 mins ea - £1.27 each
    Jane Eyre (George C Scott) - £1.27
    Road to Bali - £1.27
Little Shop of Horrors (Jack Nicholson) - £1.27
Sinatra - Man With the Golden Arm and Suddenly - £1.27
    MASH seasons 1,2,3,and 4 - £36.09 for all 4
Elton John Greatest Hits at Madison Square Gardens - £9.70
Alfred Hitchcock Early Years, 8 DVDs - £13.34
    Essential Charlie Chaplin (11 hours 40 minutes) - £13.79
    Buffy seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 - £59.15 for all 4
Lots of double packs at £5.64, £8.14, £11.08.

Scant info included with many of the titles, but I have used this company on a number of occasions over the past few months and have always been happy with the service.

    Some great prices here.

What are these guys like for customs on orders over £18?

What do they mark their packages as?

Anyone had customs charges from them?

    Cheers

Did you create a log-in username? You have to do so to get the discount. Logging in also gives you the option to see the prices converted into £UK.

Also, did that include the cost of p&p? They do charge a 'perdisc' fee for postage and packing - have a quick look at their shipping FAQ.

In total mine came to about £68 including shipping (if I get stung for tax it will come to about £84 - here's hoping my luck holds!).

Worth mentioning that they also seem to stock the best selection of dvd-a titles I've seen.
The last one I bought was a shade over a tenner delivered.

Im a little confused, whats the score with "Membership"?

For some reason I'm a little appreensive about this site, someone reassure me. Especially regarding import Tax, it will be a waste of time ordering from them if we get ripped a new one by HM Customs:(

re customs, if you have to pay the postie puts a card through your door saying that you can collect it at your nearest sorting office and that there is a charge to pay.

The only problem I can see is that it doesn't seem to mention what Region the DVD's are encoded to... Okay if you have a MR player I suppose but otherwise a bit of a 'feature'!

Customs charge is the VAT on the total amount for purchase and postage at 17.5% rate.

I just assume they'll add on 20% and use that figure to decide whether the offer is worth it or not.

Bearing in mind it would be a minimum of £120 for all four seasons even if bought from cd-wow, it's a good deal IMHO.

I've never used dvdpacific before, but then, until a year ago I'd never used cd-wow before.

Membership, it seems, is the same as the way you join cd-wow; it allows them to have your details stored in their database and you can then keep track of your orders etc.

I will report any developments when I get my package in 7-20 days time :D

DHL dont demand the customs fee straight away - they send you a bill a month or so later. But it will depend on what value dvdpacific put on the parcel - when you get it, post back what value they put on it?

Ok, now I know I'm paranoid, but this sounds too good to be true. And in situations like this, it usually is. I know on certain items, after shipping and taxes (if applied) you could probably get the same deal retail in HMV etc, but that Buffy 1-4 deal cant be real, they have to be losing money on it.

Dvdpacific are a top quality e-tailer - very cheap and excellent customer service. Used them loads of times and they seem to mark all packages as $20. Highly recommended.
