PC World and Dixons (and Currys?) are offering a Pocket PC PDA unit for only £130 this weekend. Usual price is £180

The unit in question is a Mitac 338, and according to the website here it has support for consumer IR. I'm thinking of getting one to run something like PDAWIN, giving me a colour pronto for a fraction of the price.

I know the spec is a bit low when compared with the latest IPAQs, but for £130 it seems reasonable. I've had a trawl through the web and it seems to get reasonable reviews, and there are cables available to hook it up to Navman GPS units, so it has other uses.

I plan on visiting a branch of DSG this weekend to investigate further....
