I'm looking for a 2nd laptop for the wife.

There are some others to be had at www.morgancomputers.co.uk too.

But for now her favourite, but a little more pricey is the new widescreen HiGrade W700 Notino! Style over function.

Have a look at the Compaq Evo n1015v range. The specs change quickly - last time I looked it was an AMD 2000+XP, 256 MB Ram, and the usual DVD, LAN, Modem etc

Price around £659 ex vat - for Compaq and the spec - that's pretty good.

I've set a few of these up and can recommend them. Make sure you go for 256 MB Ram - 128 MB doesn't quite cut it.

Have a look at Http://www.action.com for info

It's not cheap, but seriously cooooooooooool.

    Dell's new 15.4" (widescreen) Radeon 9000/GF4 Ti 4200 Go jobbie. Inspiron 8500 I think.

    Me wants one :(

Thanks for the tip, just ordered one at £499+VAT admittedly it only has 128RAM but it can be upgraded to 1GB also spec doesn't show IRDA port but this can also be added later

I would normally go for Intel processor but at that price can't grumble at the AMD:smashin:
