Bargain iPhone Repair

The power-on button on my daughter's iPhone 4S had stopped working. The local AppleStore required £170 to exchange the phone for a 'refurbished' model.

Alternatively, a quick Google search identified 'iTechnician' - with agents throughout the UK. My local iTechnician charged me just £25 to fit a new power-on button, with a three month warranty on the repair.

Bargain!

Useful info, thanks. Daughter just dropped her 3GS and smashed the screen so your good experience is encouraging. Have requested a quote. :smashin:

No, I didn't. I think they quoted me about 40 quid to get it repaired and I was about to go with it. Then I saw that my local supermarket has a Timpson branch on it and they've started doing iphone repairs. Was more convenient so gave it to them to replace - was sent off as they didn't keep 3GS parts in store. Waiting to pick it up in the next couple of days and will report back. £45 quoted for the repair.
