bargain 20" LCD TV for kitchen

Need your help guys,

My dad wants to upgrade his 14" CRT and was looking at a 20" (approx) LCD.

He wants to pay no more than £300 (is that possible? ) but would like a half decent one.

Any comments or advice would be gratefully appreciated.

I bought a Wharfedale 23" in Argos sale - a widescreen model for 350 pounds...silver with black frame, cheap, but looks quite stylish.

A little over budget, but I bought one for the bedroom and it's a good set for the money - came with a wall bracket in the box as well....

If you are strict about your budget, you seem to be hard pressed, unless you can go down to a 17" or have a 4:3 TV

IF you can stretch to £350 then there are a number of extra options. The best 20" probably being the Toshiba 20WL56 (or the WLT if you want freeview but it will be more expensive than the WL)

As Flashman says, Argos have a 23" for £350 at the moment too.

Sharp 20" £299 in John Lewis. Its not widescreen and no digital (freeview) but you didn't mention you want them.
