The NEC, if set up properly should give best image. Of course, there is a wealth of back up for Barco...Also BARCO is much easier for a novice to set up while NEC's are pretty complicated.

They are both great. I prefer NEC but I guess Roland will prefer Barco.

I set up projectors every day and I have always had a preferance for Barco.
The NEC' s are a pig to do from scratch but once there they are very good just reqireing the occasional tweek.
The Barco is much quieter but will be the older machine
To be honest on picture quality there is little differnce untill you really fine tune. spares and knowlege for the Barco will be far superior.

I can do a side by side in Reading if that helps.(actually its a one above the other but same thing)
I'll need few days notice. (and that's just set the NEC)
