    hi there
i recently acquired a Barco 1208. at present i run the
VGA out from my computer to the projector port 4/5 via an
extron analogue interface. i have one question and
one problem. my question: do i have to use the analogue
interface and if so, how can i get higher frame rates?
    my problem: sometimes the projector
refuses to start up. on power up it sits there for a second
and then switches into standby. this happens with or without
a video source attached. any idea why? shouldn't switching
the projector on with nothing attached work?
thanks in advance for any pointers

    Hi,

first thing - nope you dont need the extron box.
second try port 3 - this is where Barco designed the input for a pc

third - the "not switching on" - you have a problem my friend.

if it is possible have the lid open and watch for red LED's.

some thing when it starts up is NOT to manufactures spec.

this will lead to a full failure, no idea how long.

    Which 1208 is it?

read silver label on back of PJ.
