    Hi

Going to set up my AVR300 at the weekend after moving house and finally finishing the living room.

Not had it out the box yet, but reading the instructions for connecting speakers cables, says use bare wire or spade connectors only.

Can you use banana plugs or BFA connectors?

    Thanks, Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Yep, you can use banana plugs. You just need to pick out the plastic tips put in the end of the speaker terminals, and bob's your uncle.

    cheers

With the Yamaha you actually force the plug through the plastic binder, the hole is smaller than the plug.

Some people drill it first for a nice finish.

    Cheers, Tam
