Has anyone any experience of bank transfers from other countries? Ive just sold an item on ebay and the person buying lives in Canada.
They have said they will either send a money order or pay by bank transfer.
Would there be any charges from the bank for an international transfer?

It is possible that your bank may make a charge for receiving the payment. This depends on the method used, and amount of payment.

I would ask the buyer to ensure he uses a method where no charges are deducted this end.

:rotfl: It doesn't sounds like the buyer has Paypal and wants to pay through the banking system. I dislike Paypal a lot, but it does have its uses.

You would need to give them your IBAN number (top right of your statement)and full name.

The bank would then impose their laughable currency exchange on top if he was paying in dollars but you could ask him to send sterling so the fx is done his end.
