My lovely E7 has developed horrible bands after it’s second 2000 hour pixel refresh. They don’t show on my iPad camera but look bad on my iPhone. What does everyone think as I’ve a 5 year warranty with Peter Tyson and they show bad in football the most. Can everyone see them

see how it is after a few of the automated pixel refreshes that run after each 4 hours cummulative view. If it's still an issue, then take it up with Peter Tyson.

I’m in the same boat @staffy 2 after 2250 hrs and noticed it just after the first 2000 hr cycle.
I always had one about 2/3 of the way along, but it’s now stripy (maybe not as severe looking as yours - will check tonight).
It’s noticible in dark content, especially dark HDR.
I’m waiting to see if the mini comps sort it out.
Disappointed.
I have a 5 year warranty with C&M and am assuming I’ll get fobbed off with “it’s all within spec”.
Let me know how you get on please.

If you want to torture yourself (and the tv) and have Netflix check the OA season 2, ep2 with about 4:35 from the end....

Sorry not got Netflix.
You know for the first 14 months I’d honestly never seen a band in anything my picture was perfect. Then after the first 2000 hour cycle I got feint bands but couldn’t be seen in content. After this second 2000 hour cycle I’ve got thick jail bar bands and footballs horribl.
Its done Id say 200 hours since it’s second big cycle and no difference they are still bad after 30 normal compensation cycles.Football is the main problem but I love football.Films are ok as is normal veiwing but a green pitch is horrendous and some dark content.

Mine is shown below, the 5% is worse than the photo suggests (there are lights on in the background).
The other shot show the OA it’s a camera going up dark stairs the shot has horizontal panning and you really see all the stripes in play and yet lighter content.... looks great.
It’s frustrating alright ...

Not good is it Steve.
Would you go Oled again as I’m dubious now because how can a perfect panel make itself worse with something designed to keep it uniform

My e7 showed multiple bands after the first 2000 cycle, they wouldn't go away after 3 weeks. So I sent Currys pics of the bands on content and they took it away the next day. They returned it a week later with a new panel on it . It still had the usual right side band which most 2017 oleds had,but the multiple bands were gone. Got rid after that and got An Af9.

Best to take some pics of the bands with actual content as doubt they will do anything if you're just showing 5% slides.

Tell you the truth Deon it’s just football on a green pitch and my camera won’t pick it up like it is in real life.Films and mixed content look ok and so does F1 but football is horrible now.
Why is it mainly football it shows up on.

I’ve just took pictures of the football but there’s no bands visible on my phone.Really I suppose I’m lucky it’s only football so I’ll have to hope they fade and not look for them. Its the panning shots that get me.
In my 5% grey pictures none of those bands were there before the last 2000 hour pixel refresh.Id say I’d got the most uniform panel they could produce.

Strange , my Sony done its fourth 2000 refresh a few days ago and the banding was terrible afterwards but now is back to normal .

Try taking a video of those shots and see if its more evident.

It’s just football even though my bands look severe everything else is ok.Im going to just put up with it as like deon said they won’t want to look at a grey test patter. My camera won’t pick any bands up in the football I’ve tried and they won’t show.
At least everything else is band free and you never know they might fade with more use in football.Im sort of learning to just follow the ball and in a good tense match I do manage to ignore them but if i look they are there.

Why can't I upload a video. It's says I don't have extensions permission
I think you have to upload your video to YouTube then copy link of your YouTube video to here mate.

Yes I've got pics of the bands in content

Here's a video of football and I can see the bands but in real they are much worse

Thats good.

Stick it on Dropbox or something. Then you can post link here and also send it to retailer/LG.

Problem is once you have seen these bands, your eyes get tuned to keep looking for it.

Good news I’ve just rang Peter Tyson as I’m in my extended warranty period now. They were fantastic with me and so nice.
Im with Domestic and General for the extended 4 years so they gave me the number and my policy number.Just rang D&G and took minutes they were great and are sending an engineer out this Thursday.
Peter Tyson -Paul who I spoke to said any problems ring them and they’ll sort it.He said it’ll be a new screen but most probably a new tv as replacing the screen can cost more than replacing the tv and it will be the same spec an E series.Doubt they’ll find an E7 but it’s looking good and I’ll keep you updated.
Thanks for everyones help really appreciate it and really recommend Peter Tyson.

Something similar with my C8. It's never looked great in 5% but only seen some banding in certain content and it was rare. Now all the sudden i have a dark kinda thick vertical band to the right that can be seen in various panning shots.
