    Hi folks.

Im contemplating selling my Band Of Brothers Tin box - R1 but im unsure of its 'value' and since the trading rules dont permit auctioneering I wanted to get some idea of a price to put on it.
I loved this series but my DVD cupboard is full and so I have to make space for the new additions on their way, and TV series are the first to go.

Is the R1 Tin still available or are they all 'regular' boxes now?

I was thinking of asking for £40 as I've seen several go for this and more.

So please give me an honest oppinion to its value.

NB. dont ask me to sell it to you here, do so in the trades forum please. And anyone wanting to tell me its worth 50p so they can get a bargain.... Im on to you...

    Hehe.

But yeah I think £40 is a good price I'd pay that if I wasn't getting it for £15  . But yeah, because of this empire thing I think you'd need to wait a few weeks, but since it's R1 with DTS and in the tin I think £40 is a good price.

CD-WOW has it for 29.99 so an extra tenner for a used copy even with the tin box seems excessive to me

however, if you put it on EBay some muppet will pay over 40

that's odd I am sure the did have it for that

    cheapest R4 is £30

cheapest R1 is seems to be just over 40

I am sure I have seen it for £30 somewhere it may have been a high st sale

    I am losing it :suicide:

But there you have it bobbles.

you're comparing different versions of the same disk.

Some people wont mind, but to others the R1 status, tin, and DTS soundtrack make it a compulsary purchase.

exactly, I tend to use the dts when its there but wont buy a disc just because of it.

Which is why im thinking of selling my R1 set for £40 and getting the R2 from empire for £15

very true you are probably right

I still think you would probably get more from EBay

I think the DVD Sales may be flooded with Band Of Brothers when the empire orders come through

on the the getting it for 15 front what happened to creating space?

Got to ask, but is this Band of Brothers £15 offer from Empire the Magazine? or something like DVDEmpire or some other online retailer?

Sounds like a good offer :)
