Given the price of the R2 version, is the cost of the DTS version really justifiable ?
yes if you like BOB and NO If you dont. DTS is stuning on the BOB set.
What is the price differential?
Are there any back to back reviews of the R1 and R2 sets...I fancy depressing myself by finding out I should have spent the extra and got the R1
The R2 DD track still sounds pretty damn good though imho.
here you go............
Looks like the DD is not too far behind the DTS anyway
Well I have the region 1 tin set and have listened to both the dts and dolby digital tracks. I dont really think there is much between them , but some would probably not agree.
i thought the DTS was better
And the other history extra thingy is really good too
Like I said, some would not agree
gary your proably right anyway, my amp although capable of dts is probably not the best in the world and doing a comparasen of the 2 sound formats on my equipment would no doubt give different results to others amps.
