What is the difference (apart from price) between the tin edition and normal packaging please?

My branch have none in stock - but if they did, it would be £27.99.

That is the only difference, the actually discs are identical, its just the packaging that is different.

Thanks for that, got the last (only?) one in the Middlesbrough store this morning.

Just out of interest, I presume this means that the tin boxset has been re-released or is this just some stock that Smiths have pulled out of somewhere?

Play.com are showing it for £41.99 in stock.

    CD-WOW R2 (Australian R2 / R4) is £20.49 (less if you have the discounts)...

    http://www4.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=5135

I have this (for £17.49 which is below HM Customs limits I think) and it comes in a plastic case, which is practical and good enough for me. This edition is DD, as I believe the R1 tin contains DD and DTS - which is the only difference as far as I know, ie all UK versions are DD only (?).

Managed to get my hands on the only one sent to WHS Lincoln - fortunately someone had moved it out of alpha order so was not where it was supposed to be. They are not expecting any more in.

You can all stop the panic buying people - there should be plenty for everyone as this is a re-release of the tin edition - but for sound quality maybe the Region 1 for the DTS might be better.

I could've picked up a sealed R1 tin on ebay but dropped out at £25, it went for £30 in the end. The CDWOW edition at £18.99 was just too tempting!
    Top series!...PJ
