banana plugs??

    what are they used for? are they worth the money? and will i be able use them on a uk spec yamaha rx-v450?

    They are use to attach speakers cable to speakers and amplifiers. Whilst they are illegal in Europe most manufacturers have just plugged the hole with a plastic plug which is easier to pop out.

    They are useful if you play around with your equipment as they are easier to plug and unplug than constantly unscrewing and screwing back cable onto terminals but probably have no sonic advantages at all.
