Does anyone know how the hell you get the 'orrible little black bungs out that the EU very kindly insist have to be in speaker terminals?

For reference in case some speakers are different, I'm talking about Kef Ref 203.

    Thanks for any help

    John

Right managed to get the buggers out

Screwdrivers don't work but no 4 gauge screws do. Just screw them on to the end and pull them out will pliers.

FIY these bungs are the ones that sit inside the plugs and have no lip that you could get a flat screwdriver under to prise out. So screwing a screw in is the only way I managed to get them out.

    Regards
    John

I used a wanger. (Small screwdriver ground to a long thin point) they are also useful for removing terminals from connector blocks on cars.

They just pop straight out of my Arcam, my Mission's go even come fitted with them, which is strange since I though EU regulation meant they had to have caps put on them to discourage people from using them. Apparantly people were plugging the banana plugs directly into the mains
