So what's the real aspect ratio on the disc?
I've heard recently, and there's an online petition to back it up, that it's going to be fullscreen only, although a lot of online retailers have it listed as "anamorphic" so I'm slightly confused at the moment. I'm holding off a purchase of the R1 disc just now until someone can clarify this as, technically, a non-anamorphic PAL should be better than n-a NTSC. I heard Movietyme and Play both have it "instock and shipping", so has anyone got it yet?

Both play247 & DVDboxoffice state that they have this in stock.

Both claim that the disc is 16:9. Can't tell if it's anamorphic for sure.

So I ordered it yesterday from play247 to be told that it's out of stock and on back order.

I'll try to get further details from Warner themselves.

I've just been informed by an associate that's got a copy that the blurb on the back of the box says something along the lines of...."presented in a matted widescreen, preserving its original theatrical aspect ratio", he hasn't actually unwrapped it yet, so I've no idea if it's anamorphic or not.
2 minutes later....apparently it is anamorphic.

It's 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen. This was confirmed by a member review on Home Theater Forum.

Well, actually it's altered very slightly to 1.78:1 but Warner often do that.

The 'matted' wording is Warner's default packaging blurb and relates to the theatrical projection.
